The main objectives established by the European Center are:

    a) Legislation
      - Translation and publication into Albanian of the basic European
        Legislation;
     - Harmonization and approximation (analysis, awareness, proposals) 
       of the Albanian legislation with the legal European standards;
     - Experts advise to the Albanian Government on European legal 
        standards and advise to European Institutions on Albanian legislation.

    b) European integration policies:
     - Analysis of the Albanian potential and possibilities for integration;
     - Albania vis-à-vis EU standards and institutions;
     - Alternatives and proposals;

     c)  Public awareness and information:
      - Being European - informing the Albanian public and legal entities
        on advantages and constraints of integrating with Europe;
      - Workshops, roundtables and discussions, information campaigns and 
        publications on national, regional and international level dedicated to
        European issues.

    d) Expertise on European Human Rights standards, and the Albanian 
        level of compatibility
  
    e) Set up of a European Information Center to offer:
      - information on European policies and programs;
      - information and contacts on European organizations;
      - publications and literature.

    f) Training and education on European issues and especially on the 
      European integration.

    g) Publication of a European Review as a professional tribune for the
        dissemination of information, education, analysis and proposals on 
        European matters.
